An exaggerated sentence as it may sound, it definitely is true. Seems like we made it to hell without knowing what we did wrong. Every year, the Mumbaikars manage to make it ill the end of summer and also the blazing October heat.with very little do’s and don’ts that they discover. Well, I’ve listed 10 things below that will help you survive the heat in Mumbai so that you can keep your calm, stay cool and have a Happy summer!
Dressing cool doesn’t mean showing off too much of skin. It means you can just slip into a simple cotton shirt and jeans or a basic maxi dress and still look great instead of wearing spaghetti tops and hot pants. Protecting your skin from the sun is more important than looking hot and sexy.
Drink enough water to keep your body hydrated as your body is already losing its water through sweat naturally.
Avoid cold sodas or candy sticks during summer to avoid throat infections and bad flu.
Use a Parasol to protect yourself from the heat and also from getting a bad sunstroke.
Application of creams which will protect your skin from the harsh sun is a must.
Watermelons, Musk Melons, Coconut water and many other body coolants help keeping your body cool in Summers.
Avoid wearing Black as it absorbs heat.
10) Avoid the 11 am to 3 pm Scorching Sun if possible!
Study says the sun has its Hottest spell cast between 11 am to 3 pm in the afternoon. So unless necessary it is not advised not to go out between these hours especially when we are talking about the heat in Mumbai.
